Helping girls find their inner strength...

Melody Fairchild, one of America’s fastest high school girl runners ever, has spent the last two decades empowering girls with tools and self-knowledge to remain healthy, happy runners.

Melody takes a comprehensive approach to life and running. She addresses the unique issues adolescent girls face in today’s culture, as well as the latest research on training and nutrition.   Set your compass for success and satisfaction for the upcoming XC season! Find the edge you are looking for, to access your full potential as a runner.

Located on the Hydrangea Ranch

in Tillamook, Oregon.

Inspired by the rugged trails and spacious Oregon coastline,

…and nurtured by the beauty of the Hydrangea Ranch, campers will be treated to a one-of-a-kind running immersion experience.  We strengthen our running  and hone our grit muscle with challenging team and individual training runs. We learn how to support the running journey through talks from experts on nutrition and sports psychology. This camp speaks to the wise-woman within, who wants to pause and take notice of the energy around and within her, to inform her next step on the journey.

A healthy relationship with running begins with ourselves...

We teach and discuss women’s physiology, and how we work with it as athletes.  We focus on strengthening our relationship with ourselves, through journaling, meditation, body awareness and intuitive eating.

When girls are confident in themselves, trusting their instincts, they will be the best teammates and contributors to their community, they can be.

Our camp's mission...

is to give girls the tools they need to realize their running dreams. We want girls to run healthy and happy, for their entire lifetime. Campers will learn patience with the process; Progress, not perfection; Awareness of unique gifts; Essential contribution to the team; How to push and when to recover.

This is how we run stronger, faster, and smarter together.

The Melody Fairchild Girls Running Camp empowers girls to pursue a successful relationship with their running. It’s a launchpad, to help these athletes surge forward as they grow, in their running — and in their life. Camp is where girls find their edge, and access their full potential.

Testimonials

” Melody is an inspiring, driven, and positive person and as a guide, coach and mentor, had an amazing impact on my career. She taught me not only how to overcome obstacles, but how to face them with courage. In the face of adversity, Melody constantly reminded me to “Soar High,” allowing me to clearly see the big picture while remaining in the moment. Thanks to Melody, I found myself soaring higher than I ever had and I owe much of my success to her.”

Jordyn Coulter

Colorado State 800m, 1600m champion and state record holder, National Gatorade Player of the Year and current NCAA Div I Student-Athlete

“Melody fosters an environment at camp in which I immediately felt at home. She approaches the sport with a reverence and respect not just for the physical challenges it poses, but for the internal, mental strength it demands.  She seeks to support and strengthen the soul of the runner by giving each girl access to new ways of thinking about her inner resources: her strength, talent, desire, competitiveness, vision and gratitude for the ability to put on her running shoes each day. As a result, I left Melody’s camp energized, excited and eager to lace up my shoes for any challenge the sport may throw my way. Her ability to support young female athletes is exceptional and rare.”
